Why do cars appear and disappear while driving after a while when many cars are on track?
It is extremely unlikely that an issue like cars appearing or disappearing while driving is related to our hardware or software.
This issue can be caused by a variety of different factors.
To help identify the root cause of the issue, we recommend taking a closer look at the following points:
-
Check your PC’s CPU and GPU performance. If these components are running at their limit, it can cause issues like this. If that is the case, you may want to consider upgrading your PC hardware. This link will take you to the Corsair shop.
-
Monitor the game’s FPS. If it is below 60 or experiences frequent significant drops, consider adjusting the graphics settings for the respective game.
-
In many racing games, the maximum number of cars displayed on the track can be adjusted. Please check whether this option is available in the respective game and reduce the number if possible. For example, if the "maximum visible cars" setting is set to 50 vehicles, lower it to 20 and test again.
-
Verify whether the issue is occurring exclusively in multiplayer sessions.
-
Restart your router or check whether a new firmware update is available. If an update is available, please install it and test again.
-
Check your internet connection speed. Insufficient download or upload bandwidth can also lead to such issues. A download speed of 10–25 Mbps and an upload speed of 5–10 Mbps should be the minimum. Anything below these values may cause such issues. What really matters is a stable connection with a ping below 30–50 ms.
-
Check the ping of the server you joined. If the ping is very high, it can cause issues like this.
Check whether this issue only occurs in a specific racing game or across all racing games. If this issue only occurs in one particular game, please get in touch with the game’s developer team or check the official forum of that game for further information and possible solutions.
