The Steering Wheel Sends Inputs Even Though No Button Is Pressed
To rule out a hardware issue, we recommend performing the following steps:
First, check the gold contact pins for any visible damage.
To do this, you need to turn the steering wheel over and take a closer look at the quick release.
One (bottom right) of the 13 pins is shorter; this is by design and does not indicate a defect.
If there is any damage, please submit a ticket to technical support immediately.
If none of the other pins are broken or missing, please proceed with the following steps.
Check the screws in and around the gold contact pins in the steering wheel quick release and make sure they are tightened firmly by hand.
To do this, you will need a 3 mm Allen wrench for the outer screws and a 2 mm Allen wrench for the screws in the middle.
Below you will find a corresponding photo showing the mentioned screws as well as information about the maximum torque for tightening the screws.
On the software side, we recommend the following:
Check if there are any pending updates for Windows and install them.
Make sure the Wheel Base is connected directly via USB to a Windows PC.
Do not use a USB hub or USB extension cable, as this can cause issues.
We always recommend connecting the device directly to one of the available USB ports on your PC’s motherboard.
Ensure that any antivirus programs are disabled.
Download and install the latest version of the Fanatec app.
The following link will take you to the most current version on our website:

Open the Firmware Update Manager via the tab in the Fanatec app and perform all available firmware updates.
Once you have completed the above steps, open the app again and check the full functionality of your devices.
Additionally, we recommend verifying all functions again within the game itself.
If the problem persists, please submit a ticket to our technical support for further assistance.
