How to exchange the SQ-spring of the ClubSport Shifter V1.5

Attention: The steps listed involve disassembling certain components of the product. A detailed manual is attached at the bottom of this article, which explains each step with both images and text for your reference.

Tools needed:

Hex key 3 x 110mm

Hex key 2.5 x 110mm

The SQ-spring can be ordered directly from our spare parts shop.

Please follow all steps carefully, proceeding step by step:

Open the four screws to remove the Shifter plate

Don’t remove the plate completely yet; you will have to unplug one cable first before you can remove it completely

Open the three screws to remove the gear plate

Please be careful; those screws sometimes are a bit tight

Remove the gear plate and open the three screws to remove the broken spring and also the plate that holds the spring in place. 

Make sure, to remove the lubricant on the screws to avoid them getting stripped

Assemble the new spring with the screw on the left to hold it in place

Now clamp the spring into its slots and assemble the plate on the right side

It might be a bit fiddly

Reassemble the gear plate and afterwards you also can reassemble the shifter plate of the shifter

Please make sure to plug in the cable again

Once you have performed the steps listed above, connect your Shifter to your wheel base, open the Fanatec app and verify the proper functionality of your device(s).
