This message is usually caused by a USB communication issue between the wheel base and the PC.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Close the firmware updater.

Disconnect the USB cable from the PC and reconnect it, then start the firmware update again.

Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB port directly on your PC’s motherboard, then start the firmware update again.

Another approach that may be worthwhile is to try a different USB cable.
