How to roll back to an older Fanatec app version and its firmware for each product

If you would like to install an older version of the Fanatec app while a newer version is currently installed on your PC, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the Current Version

1. Open Windows Settings.
2. Navigate to Apps > Installed Apps (or Apps & Features, depending on your Windows version).
3. Locate the Fanatec app in the list of installed applications.
4. Select it and click Uninstall.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the removal process.

Step 2: Restart Your PC

After the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer to ensure all components of the previous installation have been removed properly.

Step 3: Download an Older Version

1. Visit the Fanatec Forum.
2. Navigate to the Fanatec App section.
3. Browse the list of available app releases.
4. Select the version you would like to install and download the corresponding installation file.

Step 4: Install the Older Version

1. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded .exe file.
2. Double-click the file to start the installation.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Additional Notes

• Administrator privileges may be required during installation.
• If Windows displays a security prompt, confirm that you want to proceed with the installation.
• After installation, it is recommended to launch the app and verify that it is functioning as expected.

How to Install an Older Firmware Version on the Wheel Base

If you would like to install an older firmware version after rolling back to an earlier Fanatec app version, please follow these steps:

1. Open the Fanatec app.
2. Launch the Firmware Update Manager by clicking the "Chip icon" in the upper-right corner of the app.
3. The Firmware Update Manager will pop up.
4. Select "Perform Firmware Update Manually" in the upper-right corner.
5. Choose the product you would like to update and press the button "update firmware manually."
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware installation.

Updating Multiple Devices

If you would like to install older firmware on multiple Fanatec devices, repeat the above steps for each product individually.
