Wheel Base USB Specifications
Our wheel bases are compatible with USB 1.1, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and all newer USB standards. They are designed to work seamlessly across these USB versions for a stable and reliable connection.
My Fanatec wheel base is properly detected by my PC, but not by my other computer?
If your wheel base (or another Fanatec USB device) works as expected on one computer but not on another, this typically indicates that the hardware itself may not faulty.
If you experience an issue similar to the symptoms mentioned above. Try these steps:
Check the USB connection. Try a different USB port on the PC where the device is not recognized or not functioning properly. We recommend a direct USB connection to the computer's motherboard whenever possible, avoid using any USB hubs, or extensions.
Test without drivers. Uninstall the Fanatec drivers from the affected PC. Many devices will still appear in the Windows Device Manager as "USB Game Controller" even without drivers (with limited functionality). This helps determine whether the device is recognized independently via USB.
Reinstall driver. If the device is recognized after removing the driver, reinstall the latest Fanatec App version and test functionality again.
Check your system. If the issue persists, we recommend that you submit a ticket to our technical support team for further assistance.
