"CAL" = "Center Calibration" flashes continuously on steering wheel's display
It is completely normal for "CAL" to appear on your steering wheel display after updating the wheel base firmware.
What does this mean?
The "Center Calibration = (CAL)" process must be completed to ensure that your steering wheel is properly recognized both in the app and in your games.
This calibration defines the physical zero point of the wheel base axis, establishes its correct center position, and ensures accurate steering input.
Once the center calibration has been completed, your racing wheel should function perfectly.
How do I perform the calibration?
You can complete the center calibration either through the app or directly on your steering wheel using the appropriate button combination.
This tutorial video walks you through the required steps.
This is a second video showing what to do.
For additional information on how to perform the center calibration, please refer to the quick guide for your specific steering wheel, as the required button combination may vary slightly depending on the wheel type.
This video demonstrates the steps you should follow after updating the wheel base firmware.
Once you have performed the steps listed above, open the Fanatec app again and verify the proper functionality of your device(s).
We also recommend double-checking that it functions correctly within the game.
