My Fanatec usb device is properly detected by my laptop, but not by my other computer. I have made sure that the drivers are up to date and that the USB port works.
If your Fanatec USB device works perfectly on one PC but not on another, it is certain that the hardware is not the problem.
First, you should try using a different USB port on the PC where the device is not recognized or not functioning properly. If this does not resolve the issue, it would be advisable to uninstall the Fanatec drivers. Most devices are recognized in the USB Game Controller setup of Windows without drivers, even if they do not have full functionality. This way, you can test whether the device works independently of the driver.
If the device is now recognized, reinstall the appropriate driver for your Fanatec device and check its functionality.
If the functionality is still not restored, we recommend a PC cleanup. In very rare cases, there may be issues with the Windows USB controller setup, which could require a Windows repair or even a reinstallation of Windows. In such cases, multiple USB devices are usually affected.
I sincerely hope my tips help resolve the problem. If not, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support. We will do our best to assist you!
