Self Help - Handbrake provides either 0% or 100% input (acting as an on/off switch)
In order to cross out an issue on the hardware side, we recommend performing the following:
1. Inspect the input of the handbrake, and check to see if the cable is sitting properly in the connection port, or if there are any changes in the input when touching the cable.
2. Also check the other end of the cable which plugs into the wheelbase, and see if there are any flickering inputs when the cable is being moved.
On the software side, we recommend checking the following:
3. Make sure to have your device connected to a Windows PC via a USB connection cable. Do not use a USB hub or a USB extension cable, in order to prevent any issues. We always recommend plugging the device directly to one of the USB ports located on your PC's motherboard!
4. Reset your device By following this link, you will find a video illustrating how to perform the process.
5. Check for any pending Windows updates. These should also be performed if available.
6. Make sure to have any antivirus program(s) disabled before installing the latest Fanatec Driver Package.
7. Download and install the latest Fanatec Driver Package. You can install the latest Fanatec Driver Package via this link.
8. Open the Firmware Update Manager by clicking on the update tab in the Fanatec Control Panel, and perform all of the available firmware updates.
9. Once you have performed the steps listed above, open the Fanatec Control Panel, and verify the proper functionality of your device(s).
In case the issue persists, we advise opening a support ticket. In order to speed up the support process, it would be helpful if you could also provide us with the following additional information:
- Did the issue occur out of the box?
- Does the handbrake show a proper input when connected to a load cell equipped pedal set? (CSL Elite V1/V2, ClubSport V2/V3)
- A short video illustrating the issue.
