Self Help - Power button must be held pressed for the wheel base to stay on
In order to cross out an issue on the software side, we recommend performing the following:
1. Check for any pending Windows updates. These should also be performed if available.
2. Remove any steering wheels from your wheel base.
3. Uninstall the current Fanatec Driver Package.
4. Make sure to have any antivirus program(s) disabled before installing the latest Fanatec Driver Package.
5. Download and install the latest Fanatec Driver Package. You can install the latest Fanatec Driver Package via this link.
6. Make sure to have your wheel base connected to a Windows PC via a USB connection cable. Do not use a USB hub or a USB extension cable, in order to prevent any issues. We always recommend plugging the device directly to one of the USB ports located on your PC's motherboard!
7. Press and hold the power button of the wheel base for 8 seconds until the wheel base Firmware Updater launches.
8. Proceed with re-flashing of the firmware.
9. Once you have performed the steps listed above, open the Fanatec Control Panel, and verify the proper functionality of your device(s).
In case the issue persists, we advise opening a support ticket. In order to speed up the support process, it would be helpful if you could also provide us with the following additional information:
