Self Help - Wheel base does not power on - Power supply LED is illuminated
In order to cross out an issue with the product, we recommend performing the following:
1. In case there are no visible hardware issues, try to start the wheel base in its bootloader mode. Make sure to have your wheel base connected to a Windows PC via a USB connection cable. Do not use a USB hub or a USB extension cable, in order to prevent any issues. We always recommend plugging the device directly to one of the USB ports located on your PC's motherboard!
To enter the bootloader, press and hold the power button for 8 seconds while the wheel base is connected via USB to a Windows PC with the Fanatec driver installed.
The Firmware Updater will then show up on the screen, and the update can be performed. When this is done, try and power on the wheel base once again.
In case the issue persists, we advise opening a support ticket. In order to speed up the support process, it would be helpful if you could also provide us with the following additional information:
- Did the issue occur out of the box?
- Does the issue happen after a change in your setup, such as upgrading or replacing existing software or hardware?
- A short video illustrating the issue.
- Is the power button clicking properly?
- Are there any visible damages on the power port of the wheel base, or on the power connector of the power supply unit?
