CS DD+ - PlayStation Mode Dark Blue vs. Light Blue vs. Purple

The ClubSport DD+ wheel base features three different PlayStation operating modes, designed to ensure maximum compatibility across PlayStation generations and game titles:

Dark Blue (native) mode = For use on PlayStation 5 (recognized as CS DD+)

Light Blue mode = For use on PlayStation 4 (recognized as GT DD Pro)

Purple mode = PlayStation compatibility mode for use on PlayStation 5 & 4 in case the GT DD Pro (CS DD+ in light blue mode) is not supported by the game in question.

When would purple mode be needed?

The purple mode is useful in situations where older games for PlayStation 4 or 5 may not recognize the newer hardware. 

Here is an example:

When using a PlayStation 4 with the game F1 2020, this game was released before newer wheel bases like the GT DD Pro (launched in November 2021) were available. Because of this, the ClubSport DD+ will neither be recognized in dark blue mode nor in light blue mode. For this reason, switching the mode to compatibility mode is recommended.

Another example:

When using a PS5 with the game Project CARS 1, this is a title originally released during the PlayStation 4 era.
